Tuesday night at Nordica, American Adam Elliott will narrate his photographs and talk about the great rivers of Yunnan. Adam has 17 years experience as a kayaker and 12 years experience as raft guide. He currently works with Last Descents River Expeditions in Kunming to expand and promote a socially and environmentally responsible river tourism industry in China.
During the presentation special emphasis will be given to the 180-mile first descent of the upper Salween River (Nu Jiang) in eastern Tibet. Six kayakers completed this in 12 days, arriving in Tsawarong on March 23 of this year. The presentation will be full of whitewater as well as experiences with local Tibetan, Naxi, Yi, Nu, and Lisu cultures.
