Ningxia rockers Buyi (布衣) have been part of the Chinese music scene for some 15 years and are notable for integrating Chinese folk and ballad music into their rock 'n' roll style. Their show tonight at Nashville Sound Bar will cost 50 yuan and start at 8:30pm.
Friday: Turbot Safari at Laowo Bar
We had trouble categorizing the music of Turbot Safari, a three-man Swedish/Norwegian group that's playing Laowo Bar tonight, but those interested can check out the group's MySpace page to listen to samples. The show starts at 9:30pm and costs 30 yuan.

In addition to his colorful stage costumes, Beijing-based Liman is also known as being one of China's top DJs. He plays Uprock tonight at 10pm. Entry to the party will be 30 yuan or 15 yuan with a VIP card.
Saturday: Exhibition opening at TCG Nordica
Artist Lü Min (吕敏) will open an exhibition entitled "The Other Shore" at TCG Nordica on Saturday. She is known for her inventive oil-based woodcut paintings. The free event starts at 8pm.
Saturday: Exhibition opening at Loft Jinding 1919
The "New Kids on the Block" exhibition opens Saturday with works by 25 young artists in Loft Jinding's art space one. It starts at 8:30pm and will run through November 16.
Sunday: Dali Street Fair
The Dali Hump will hold its latest Dali Street Fair on Sunday. It will include local art, crafts, jewelry, photography, food, music and massage. There will also be mojitos and tequila sunrises on special and live music all day with a Dali jam session starting at 6pm. The fair is free and starts at 2pm.
