Young up-and-coming bands Shiyijian (试衣间) and Kaixuan(凯旋) from the Yunnan Art Institute will play at Laowo Bar tonight. The 20 yuan concert starts at 9:30pm.

There will be live music at Uprock tonight with band Qimuguang (七木广) and special guests Yaco Music Union (雅歌音乐联盟 ) and Wangshengzhou (往生咒), as well as DJ Touch Ya. The 20 yuan show starts at 10pm.
Saturday: Rock show at Nashville Bar
Kunming indie rock bands Moodly (猫哆哩) and Mayuan Shiren (麻园诗人) will play at Nashville Sound Bar Saturday night. The 8:30pm show costs 15 yuan.
Saturday: Hump Hootenanny
The country-bumpkin-themed Hump Hootenanny is back for a second incarnation Saturday at The Hump Bar. It will again feature live bluegrass from The Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project, as well as a rockabilly DJ, line dancing with Nevada, tug of war, an arm wrestling competition, a bean spitting tournament and a baozi eating competition. The free party starts at 9pm.
Saturday: Retro party at Uprock
The party at Uprock on Saturday will feature 70s and 80s music from DJ DD and DJ QY. It starts at 10pm with free entry.
Sunday: Oktoberfest at The Box
The Oktoberfest event at The Box on Sunday will feature Currywurst with fries/chips for 22 yuan, German sausage plates (2 Thueringer, 2 Nuernberger & 1 Bratwurst) with fries/chips for 40 yuan, bottles of Erdinger Champ for 22 yuan and Jaegermeister shots for 18 yuan. The specials start at 11:30am and run all day.
