Friday: The Dali Street Fair
The Dali Hump is hosting a street fair today just outside its entrance on Honglong Jing. The fair will run all day and into the night with a variety of things to see and do, such as:
Live music from the Quebec Redneck Bluegrass Project, guqin master Liu Feng and friends, and Jack & Ed; local food and drinks including tea, baked goods, an all-day barbecue and stone oven pizza; a book fair and handmade clothing and jewelry for sale; an interactive art workshop; circus, cabaret, fire breathing and dancing; massage; cocktail specials; and a late night jam session.
The fun starts at 2pm.
Friday: American consular services at Green Lake Hotel
An American consular officer will be at Green Lake Hotel this afternoon providing "limited consular services (such as certain notarial and passport services)." The service time will be from 3 to 6pm.
Friday: All-you-can-eat BBQ at Sandra's
Sandra's is serving up grilled goat cheese, chicken, pork chops, Hungarian beef sticks, oven baked potatos and salad tonight. Sandra fires up the grill for the 100 yuan meal at 6pm. Call 15825267010 for reservations.
Friday: Live Punk at Laba
Smegma Riot, Kunming's "Italian stallion punk band" will play at Laba tonight to celebrate its sixth anniversary and second China tour. Kunming bands Cat Scratch Fever (猫抓热) and Cash Boys & Friends (现金狗男女) will also perform. The free show starts at 9:30pm.
Saturday: Movie night at TCG Nordica
TCG Nordica will show the film "Babel" by director Alejandro González Iñárritu Saturday. The free screening starts at 7:30pm.
