I married a Chinese woman, but did it in the UK. Very easy for admin.
We have looked there. Even though the consulates and government are supposed to moving there it has not happened yet.
It is a fairly average residential area.
We thought it a bit remote, with not much for me apart from teaching at one of the Unis
Do a search on here. A few weeks ago there was something about the rocky hills to the N. of the city.
Hai Gen Da Ba/bao (sorry about spelling) Guanjing Lu. I think there is at least one apartment for rent at DianChi NanJun (Dianchi South County). You look directly across the water at XiShan.
Guanjing Lu runs along the bund for Dianchi Grass Lake, and ends where the cable car station for Xi Shan begins.

Great to know it is no longer dry.
Good review BTW
This has moved.

A reasonable choice of lumber that has improved over time. Fancy hardwoods like walnut, and mahogany are in abundance. There are some plywood and rubber-wood boards available. There are also some kiln dried imported softwoods and merbao available. Some of the lumber is very green, so look for the kiln dried if you need stable timbers.
Echo everything said by others.
Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.
In fairness to Metro, they are a wholesalers, and not really a supermarket. Hence the need for a card, which can be got around.
They have improved in the year I have been away. They now carry a more consistent range of imported foodstuffs and they also seem to have sorted out the mported milk supply.

发布者Another reason to consider revoking the World Heritage Status. I don't think there are any precedents for this, but now China has so many such sites I think the political fall out will be much less. I think that the original mistake was putting the matter of reconstruction in the hands of someone so inexperienced.

发布者Also consider that résumés in China are expected to have a photograph. It is widely thought, and probably true, that a lot of candidates are rejected based on their appearance in the photo.

发布者In my country, you don't need a licence as such (to sell most products). But you are regulated, which amounts to the same thing.
At the very least you must be a registered trader, pay tax, VAT, have insurance, and if you employ people the regulations get more complicated. There are very few exceptions to this, garage sales and church fundraisers being two of them.
And Merry Xmas everyone, even if that isn't PC anymore.
