Firstly, some bad news: I am leaving in all too short a time.

I want to know how I can go about transferring my hoarded RMB to Australia. I don't want to walk around with about 20,000 kuai in my back pocket so would prefer to wire it somehow. Can the helpful souls at Bank of China do it or will I have to throw myself upon the mercy of someone like Western Union?

If you've done this before, any advice will be appreciated. Normally I'd try The A-Team but I can't find them.
