Forums > Living in Kunming > COVID 19 vaccine for foreigners called maria maternity hospital, they recommended the yunnanjiankangma wechat miniprogram for finding first dose location. it has a map with vacc points, but no info about which dose. i had used the app before to scan codes. when you tap on schedule appointment, it wants a name an id number, won't accept passport. i tapped on the 'declaration entry for foreign nationals', filled in all correct info, name, passport number, submitted, application failed 'credential information may be wrong'. tried without middle name, tried with last name first, same result. i had entered these before when i was scanning codes, and didn't have a problem.

so i asked the guy who confirmed that (his number was on the piece of paper that advertised single-dose) if private insurance is acceptable, he said to ask at a local vacc center, which 'at least for these few days' is in a tent at tongde mall. went there, got some looks and overheard comments about 'foreigners also getting vaccinated?' (how that was meant is open to interpretation). the staff said that they only do second dose, and that first dose is 'nowhere to be had'. asked the guy, he said the same, and that the single-dose was just a one-day thing, it's all gone. i keep trying to call the local hospital to see if they might have first or single dose, number is busy.
