Yes i know the best season for Yuanyang is November-April, but for the schedule arrangement i could only spare some time on late October, otherwise it would be delayed to next year. I'm not sure what the view would going to be on late October. Maybe i should do some adjustment.
Yes Dongchuan is a must of Yunnan tour, relatively undeveloeped but fantastic natural beauty that would amaze any one, especially during the colorful autumn. For the transportation, personally i think to hire a driver is not safe and comfortable, more importantly, they generally know less about it. Last autumn we headed to Dongchuan Red Land for photography in a tour of the website you mentioned. As a result, thanks to their professional guide we soon found the right place for view-sight and get much wonderful photos. This Autumn(predicted in October) i decided to another photography tour to Yuanyang Terrace. Are you interested in it?
