I have a question about this school. I though proletysing in China by Christian groups not controlled/sanctioned by the government was illegal. So how do they manage to operate here within the law?

Wechat buggy? Never had a problem with it. Best chat/social communications app on the market. Beats whatsapp & Skype hands down for quality.

I've used Skype to voice chat with my odd in the UK & the call quality was awful. Used Wechat same day and it was clear as a bell.

Forums > Living in Kunming > Foreign Experts Cert v Residents Permit

@ Xiefei, cheers.

Though when I got my Z visa a couple of years ago to work in Guangzhou it went something like this:
1. Company got alien employment to allow them to employ & issued me an invitation letter
2. I then applied for Z visa in the UK.

3. After entering china on the Z visa the company then got me the AEL
4. Then got residence permit (luckily 3 year one! Engineering position)

I don't know which order it works on an FEC.

Great article but interesting that there is no mention that this wonderful place is about to be drastically reduced in size. If you want to see it as shown then GO NOW! The government is about to demolish loads of it and reduce the numbers of monks and laypeople by a huge amount. Unfortunately can't give you a link that doesn't require a VPN.

Greed which way HFCAMPO? The local government imposing the 80 kuai charge, local businesses or both?

I've been to Huangyao Guzhen in Guangxi a couple of times now. It's 100 kuai a ticket to get in there. IF the money gets spent on the infrastructure & renovations/repairs then find. Big problem is if it gets siphoned away elsewhere.....
