I just arrived in China and I absolutely LOVE eating the egg and tomato dish. What are some other dishes that are pretty easy to make at home. I want to eat at home as much as possible to save on money but I'm not sure what to cook here! What are your favorite dishes and how do you make them?
I have seen pictures of people getting a pedicure by fish here in China and I am wondering if there is anywhere in Kunming where they have these fish pedicures? I have heard that they make your feet SOOO soft!
I would recommend making your own. There are things that aren't 100% true when it comes to buying pre-made bottles of baby food. In a bottle of babyfood from the store that says "Meat and peas" there really is no meat in them... they have a filler they put in the bottles so they can make more. So the majority of "meat and peas" is really 99% peas and 1% meat. So babies aren't getting to amount of protein they really need. So yes, I would recommend making your own!
For the Mid-Autumn Fest, my husband and I are going to Dali. Now keep in mind that we have never lived in China before and so everything around us is new. We have heard so many good things about Dali and we decided to check it out next weekend. What are some things that we have to go and see or do while we are in Dali? What are some good restaurants to eat at? Overall what do we have to do so that we don't look back wishing we would have done those things while we were there....
We have been here for a few weeks and have looked for a good western place to eat. I understand that if we want US food... to go back to the US right? Every now-and-then I just want a good old hamburger. I love the Chinese food here but it's nice to sit down and enjoy a western meal every once in a while. We have heard about the Irish Pub and checked that out... Wasn't a huge fan of that place (really dirty). We have heard a lot about the Wicker Basket...AWESOME! Not sure the exact address's of all 3 Wicker Baskets, but if you are in need of some good western food I would recommend that! What other good western places have you found?
