These gutter oil claims are always on my mind when eating in Kunming so thought I'd check it out and read the article they have on this site now I know how big it is, wish I'd not checked lol

These quotes are all from about a year ago relating to a case but still the situation couldn't of changed that much :(

1)
'the company allegedly sold 32,000 tons of 'cooking oil' in Yunnan — much of it consisting of industrial and commercial waste'

2}
'CCTV reporters estimate the amount of these products sold was enough to supply 1.5 million consumers with cooking oil for a year'

3)
'According to the CCTV report, Chinese police have investigated 1.3 million cases of gutter oil production in 250,000 illegal factories over the last 18 months'

Big business gutter oil I'm guessing.....

Just nice, near and convenient :)

Seems to me to encourage anyone with parenting difficulties, rather than going through the hard work as most parents do, the child can be given up with little shame :(
Don't see this as a good thing, surely better ways!

I went there for a meal this week not expecting to much as I had been let down by every other western food restaurant that I'd tried. But I was surprised and ate a very enjoyable meal with a wide range of selections to choose from. I'm looking forward to going back as it has many Italian favourites of mine on the menu that I'm looking forward to eating :)

Definitely now my favourite western restaurant in Kunming!
