I want to make sure I understand the prices on the website.
If I go during the week, the price for a full day (for example) is 280 RMB. What is the "in advance price" (预定价)? Is it some sort of discount that you get if you buy your ticket in advance (1 day price would then be 196 RMB) or a deposit you make first and then you pay the balance?
There also seem to be a "season ski pass" with a price of 390 RMB (273 RMB "in advance price"). Is it valid for all week days during the ski season? This is really cheap!
For the rest, 400 RMB deposit + 20 RMB entrance ticket. If you bring your own gear, you only pay 60% of the price right? That would mean that gear rental is included in ski ticket...
About the resort, there seem to be 6 tracks, including:
- 1 for beginners of 250m
- 1 for intermediate skiers of 1400m
- 1 for advanced skiers of 1340m
- 1 for cross country skiing of 1580m
Can anyone confirm the cross-country skiing option? If so, I might consider bringing my own gear over...

I didn't know about the age requirement... but I pass (barely ^^) Work experience is not a problem as long as they don't require certified teacher experience.
I'm looking for a teaching job in Yunnan specifically and preferably in Kunming as I have already been there and really liked the city. And I want to teach, really...

I have an interview with the program manager tomorrow and I'll make sure to clarify everything before hand (like the 25 work hours really being 25 hours ^^).
I know quite a bit about being overwhelmed by Chinese families during homestays as this would actually be the second time I do one. The first was a disaster, mostly because the family had never had any foreign exposure, was lower middle class, didn't speak Mandarin... And the school didn't help at all.
If I do the homestay program, I won't work (the time with the family is the actual work). And the family pays for the Chinese lessons...
I'll probably end up doing the homestay or studying at the university this year and restart working the next. That way I'll be in Kunming for the interview and won't mind the trip back home to see my family.

@mPRin: if I decide to go to the university, this is probably where I'll stay. I thought 120 RMB was the price for a 4 persons room though... The 2 persons is 240 (or 280? can't remember)
@Philou: if this is true, then I must hurry because it would be a major hassle... The university doesn't seem to be aware of this, nor is the homestay program... Applying before September 1st might be a good idea...
