Forums > Living in Kunming > Changing money I am about to sell my car, then I am leaving China shortly after. I do not want to leave any money in China.
I have a Bank of China bank account. So my plan is to go to a bank branch with the buyer, deposit the money into my account to make sure that all the bills are not counterfeit, then withdraw all the money at once and change it into USD.
So I had a few questions:
- Is there a daily withdrawal limit if you go to a teller? What is it?
- If there is a limit, can I just ask the bank to check the money for me instead of depositing it?
- Is there a limit to how much cash you can bring out of China at once?
- Any other funny business?
Thanks!
