^ well i've only visited twice, over a year ago, went to the bar street near the river matou, about 4,5 good lively bars/clubs there, didn't pay any entrance fees. drinks were pricey yeah true, but not 180 yuan haha anyway there were many 7-elevens there selling 60元 bottles of whiskey.

^definitely. a good night out in Kunming is generally way more expensive than Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou etc

Shifan Daxue, Minzu Daxue, Yunnan Daxue, and Yishu Xueyuan, all in Chenggong, all have chinese language courses. seems like ShiDa would be the way to go
