There is no question you have need not worry about our government coming to take your guns. I don't think I've made an argument for that. You will have access for decades to come. Even if that is not what I wish, and something that I will never understand, it is the wish of the masses and I will have to live with that.

But arming people for protection is different from arming people for assault. And more than 60% of Americans support a federal ban on assault weapons. It does not mean taking away your freedoms or ignoring the constitution to give up the right to buy a weapon with the capacity to kill a person per second.

I don't think Thomas Jefferson has semi-automatic weapons in mind when defining the right to bear arms. Even the most seasoned marksmen in that time could only get off three shots in a minute.

Can we all at least agree that assault weapons are not necessary for hunting, self-defense, constitutionality or freedom? Nobody is coming for your handguns and hunting rifles, at least not this century. But where else can regulations start? Do we wait until disintegrating ray guns are available on the market, or can we draw a line short of that at assault weapons?

American homicide rates are nearly 5 times that of China (1.12 per 100,000 in China and 5.0 in the States.) That's a surprising fact considering China's issues with overpopulation, income disparity, and water access.

Sorry, when i say automatic, i mean semi-automatic. Like the AR-15 assault rifle purchased legally in Colorado and the 6000 rounds purchased legally online. As far as your responses to issues 1, 2, 3 and 4, we truly live on different planets. And for issue number 5... you think only Americans deserve true freedom? You don't want to make an argument for arming Chinese or not?

I'd have to agree with you Blobbles. Good airport with the potential to be a great airport. Don't blame the airport for Kunming's taxi problems. Reserve a driver for 120. It's the safest way. If you live in the north, it takes less time to get to the new airport than the old. Did it in 20 minutes last time. Be prepared for traffic at the airport for early flights. The subway is not worth it yet unless you live next to the east station. In traffic, it will take you longer to take a taxi to the station than to the airport. Wait another two years to take the subway.
