You can definitely find it at Carrefour, next to all the toothbrushes. You can probably find some at other supermarkets etc. as well, although I've never really looked. If all else fails, try asking at a dentist, they might be able to sell you some.

A couple of little things I found:
1. There's a few short examples of Kunminghua here (with English translations/notes): en.kunming.cn/index/node_32973.htm
2. At Mandarin Books, you'll find a small volume called 云南方言:昆明话 (云南大学出版社, 2011). It's in Chinese; price 12 yuan. If you're interested in reading about the dialect in a more detailed way.

I've been a few times now, it's a nice place. Beers brewed in~house are of course something quite special, and the pizzas, and some of the other snacks, are very nice. I was there tonight, and for the first time, tried the American~style ribs. I have to say that they weren't as good as I was expecting. But that could be that I'm not really familiar with this dish? On the whole, though, it's a great place.
Giveaway: Tickets for World of Flowers - The Botanical Art of Zeng Xiaolian
发布者I went to the exhibition this afternoon, and it was amazing. It was the first time I've been to the Contemporary Gallery Kunming, and the gallery itself is quite impressive - I was expecting perhaps just a small building, but it is actually very spacious. The exhibition design, with the 'living garden' idea, really draws you in to the exhibition space, while the centrepiece artwork "The journey of Chinese plants" is a wonderful riot of colours. If you like art, flowers, botanical illustration, or even just something new, I highly recommend going!
Life in Kunming: A cabbie's perspective
发布者As Sam said above, a good idea, and I look forward to more. But the interview could have been more interesting, even for this sort of thing, a few more piercing, probing questions wouldn't hurt. On another note, eight or nine hours a day? Is that standard? If so, cabbies in Kunming are on a better deal than those in Australia, with standard twelve hour shifts!
A quick guide to Kunming's Metro Line 2
发布者When I bought a new bus card at Xiaoximen ladt year, I was told it could be used on the Metro, but I haven't ridden yet, so can't be 100% sure. The card has 一卡通 printed on the front. Oldet bus cards won't work though.
