As far as I know, its open, but not officially
They have some flights, but only China Eastern.
The official opening is going to be in May, than flights should increase an prices should drop. (I got the information from local Cabdrivers in Tengchong, I hope its correct). Try to book using an China Eastern office or maybe even a travelagent.
Tengchong is great, I stayed at the hostel, which is brand new and definitely worth the money!

A Chinese friend just told me, that you do not need a visa for Vietnam, if you stay only for 7 days. Your Chinese visa kind of counts as a visa for Vietnam.
Sounds a bit strange to me. Has anybody made experiences?

I'll soon get some visitors and they would like to have some clothes done in Kunming. Has anybody any experiences with any shops/factories, that tailor your shirts or suits?
We'd probably need something like 40 shirts and can provide sample shirts.
