I went to CCB this morning, they'd never heard of it, said no problem. Good, because that's where my salary ends up.
Then I went to CMB and they seemed to know about "二代身份证明". They said my account didn't need it but they put my driver's licence on file anyway because it would make matters more convenient for me in the future.
I guess that foreigners may lose/change their passports some time and then get locked out of their accounts for good, and this is a way to mitigate this. But freezing their accounts if they fail to provide secondary ID is a bit harsh. I'm curious to find out more about this whole thing.
Cycling the Nujiang: Bingzhongluo and the Tibet border
发布者There is a person on the main street in Bingzhongluo who rents out a jeep and two motorcycles. But you'd have to talk to him well ahead because they're often rented out. We also talked about some people in a repair shop about renting out the vehicles that were repaired, but didn't have a lot of luck with that. Maybe if you give a better impression.
You should also probably know that riding in Bingzhongluo may require above average driving/riding skills. You often have to ford fast streaming rivers, cross vehicles on ridiculously narrow roads and mount steep and badly paved mountain trails.
Fog shuts down Kunming airport, strands thousands
发布者Why is fog really a problem with landing/taking off? I have flown many times with dense fogs and usually I think the instruments do their thing... I believe something else is at play.
Kunming addresses taxi shift change troubles
发布者Ride a bicycle. Really. I don't know why you would waste time and money on those unreliable suckers.
