Inexpensive authentic Kunming cuisine served in a down-home setting; tucked in an alley on the south side of the Nanping Jie Antique Market.

Xiaodongtian has good Kunming food and a somewhat hidden location that enhances its old school Kunming vibe.
Went there last night and split five dishes between three people, all were solid, with the wuguji (black-boned chicken) and ganbei sijidou (fried green beans) particularly well-received.
Xiaodongtian has an extensive selection of paojiu (infused baijiu), including papaya, waxberry, red plum, green plum, sticky rice and more.
For some reason we decided to try the sticky rice. It was exceptionally sweet and surprisingly floral, with unmistakeable cough syrup undertones.
All told, two meat dishes, three veggie dishes and three glasses of sticky rice wine came to 100 yuan.
