This is a lovely bakery in Dali. The bread I tried was very good, but the Yunnan coffee was exceptional.

It is a little too far to get your backery stuff from the "best backery in China" if you are living in Kunming. ;-) Any plans to open a outlet in Kunming?

Breakfast great and the serve from 8am. Most other places say 9am and they still are not ready.
Sandwiches are cheap 22-32, and really packed full of filling. We got some sandwiches for a day out, the only mistake I made was ordering two, as this was too much. These are seriously good sangars, and they are wrapped in alu foil.

Previous poster has it right, this is one of the best bakeries in Asia, let alone in China.

Whoever runs the place clearly knows what they are doing. Staff is really well trained, friendly and the place is extremely clean. I ate here multiple times, everything I had was excellent. The sandwiches in particular are good.

Maybe if I'm at home I dont give 5 stars...but after months of suffering through Chinese food or overpaying for really bad western food. This place is a dream come true.

Oh,....the ciabatta with cheese. Theres so much cheese on the bread, (and enough butter too), that you almost feel guilty being treated with it for 26 yuan. Its like buying a cheese with some bread.

Excellent place! Looking back at Yunnan, its like a miracle something has succeeded like Bakery 88.
