Cantonese Audio Materials to Download/Borrow/Buy?

JDMKY (34 posts) • 0

I know they have a decent course in Mandarian Books, but I'm too tight to fork out the 420 kuai, so I wondered if anyone knew any decent materials on the internet apart from www.cantonesepod.com...
The best thing would be a downloadable MP3, but anything's interesting right now,
Thanks

If you have a peer to peer program like Emule. You can do a search and find Mp3 files for download and also some books in pdf format. You might want to try:
Pimsluer-cantonese
Eurotalk- cantonese
I don't know if you are chinese of laowai. Do you know mandarin? are you beginning cantonese? Anyway, hope this helps.

Hi LK1234,

Thanks for the info, I tried on a few file sharing networks amd never got anything biggerthan 13 megs, which I'll finish within a week.
I ended up buying the course in M.Books, because it looks great.
I also found www.cantonese.hk, which has a lot of links to good resources, and there's also a dry but nice looking course at the Foreign Services Institute.
All the best.
