Hi Kunming people,
Has anyone done the visa extension here in Kunming PSB lately. we have done it before, but dont know what is the situation now.
I have a one month L visa and would like to prolong it for one month.
Another thing: they used to need a week to make it - does the new visa start on the day you bring your passport in or on the day you pick it up?
THX
Hi,
Does anyone know where I could find the PSB in Kunming?
I went this morning to the old office in Beijing Lu but it was
closed already. Please HELP and send me there new address.
Thanks and I'll be waiting.
Regards,
Jmfph
Hi Jmfph,
Our company helps people on getting residence permit, we just went there one week ago. It is possible that PSB moved. You can try to call: 0871- 3017878.
If I know the new address tomorrow, I will tel you.
@mabaowei
When we've applied for VISA extension here the form allowed us to put in the requested expiry date, so you would not just be restricted to 30 or 60 days.
I'm interested (as are others) about where the PSB might be relocated since we'll need to extend VISAS again in a few months. I'll be downtown today and will see if I can get any info.
Hi Max Peng,
Where is your company located? I'm just worried because my Chinese
L visa will expire this Sunday, April 10, so I should apply immediately before the expiration. I did this last year twice at the PSB and there's no problem. I don't if this still works or there might be some changes which
I'm not aware. PLEASE HELP! Thanks.
Regards,
JMFPH
Jmph,
Try again today. The visa office was closed Monday and Tuesday for the national holiday
Call me at 13608881838 this morning.
I can explain to you on phone, i am in hurry to go out now.
Hi Xiefei and Max Peng,
Thanks for your concern. I was able to extend my visa this morning
and was told to get it next week. I thought that they move to a new location because of the road construction. Anyway, I sincerely appreciate your HELP! God bless and more power.
Regards,
JMFPH
Confirmed! I just came past the VISA office and it was open for business. There is some minor problem with the construction. The sidewalk is now only open on the east side of Beijing Lu which really makes no difference anymore since the little road (Shang Yi Jie) between Dongfeng Lu and Tuodong Lu is also closed off at that point.
False alarm, but I imagine it's just a matter of time before that office gets moved down to Chenggong w/ all the other govt clobber. That's what happened in Guiyang when they built their version of Chenggong to the north of downtown, and also w/ Shanghai->Pudong.
