Anyone know any bars in this area?
Are there any bars (not hotel bars) in the new South Asia Mall complex on Dianchi Lu.

I have never seen a bona fide bar in that Southeast Asian monstrosity,.

When you talk about the new South Asia Mall, are you talking about Nanya (spelling)? The new mall with the new Wyndham Hotel, Carrefour, and Mc Cafe? If this is where you are talking about, there are plenty of bars on the backside of the mall (furtherest away from Dianchi Rd). However, you will be paying 20RMB for a Tsingtao Beer. You better have a pocket full of money to go there.

I go to 100,000 Degrees Bar whenever I'm in the Dian Chi area

I'm told the South Asian Mall has 14 bars. They appear to be all located next to each other, or at least a good number of them are. I've only been to Yetta. We were guests of the owner so it was pretty cheap for us, but I've seen the menu and it goes from upscale to way upscale (most expensive wine on the menu is 60,000 RMB). It starts filling up at 9:00 p.m. and is mostly sold out every night. I expect the others are the same.
