I have a friend who has a dual sim version of the Note2. I believe he got it in HK. Forgot the price, but he saved money cause paying in HKD vs RMB when the sticker is the same is a big automatic discount.
I want to purchase phone at very affordable prices, then you can check online buying selling sites : Taobao, snapdeal etc. These are very useful to purchase anything online and at affordable prices also.
Don't waste your money on that Galaxy, it doesn't worth at all, I use it before and after 1 month decided to sell it, now my iPad is going much better, you cannot compare both devices!
"Don't buy that Galaxy" That's funny. The Galaxy is worth buying but it's not the only phone to buy. I don't like apple products. They are to restrictive.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is an Android smartphone manufactured by Samsung and noted for its combination of a large display. The smartphone's pressure-sensitive S Pen stylus is slightly thicker than in the original Galaxy Note. More you can take help from search engine.
Where can one download the english version ROM for the note 2?
There are many, particularly custom ROMs. I use Omega ROM which I can recommend after having installed a few!
forum.xda-developers.com is the go to place for all custom ROMs, you can find the latest version of Omega ROM there as well.
Note that after you install it you have to spoof that you are in the US to get the best apps etc as the google play store is location dependent. You will need a VPN to do this:
1. Download the market enabler app.
2. Open market enabler and set your phone to one of the US options like verizon.
3. Turn on WiFi and connect to your home internet.
4. Use the task manager app to clear memory (what you want is to stop google services)
5. Connect to a US server using your VPN.
6. Open google play app, you should get a message to accept the stores Ts&Cs before continuing, that's how you know you have successfully changed stores. You will then have access to the full range of apps.
Oh yeah - don't forget to backup your original ROM before installing another one! If you ever have a warranty problem (like a button breaks or something) they won't touch your phone if it has a different ROM from what was originally installed!
