French Coffee Press

I bought one at Chicago Coffee when they were in the Think UK complex. They've since moved. The brand name is Eupa and it has worked great for a very long time. I think I saw one for sale at Salvador's. Also, maybe Paul's Shop might have them.

If you mean a cafetiere, they have them in Metro.
My local supermarket also has them, but they are used for tea here. Exactly the same thing.

Glass jug, in metal frame. The lid has a plunger with a mesh filter.

thank you all. I will try Chicago Coffee first which is supposed to be in West Kunming near the WalMart on Xingyuan Rd. if no luck, I will call Salvadors. Then finally, I wll make a trip to Metro, if needed to get a cafetiere. Thanks Again.

ERRRRRR not all the same, some of the imitations have a loose fit between the glass and screen / spring. Great for tea but sucks pour le cafe.

This loose fit allows grinds to bypass if you press with any effort.

Two or three little shops and stalls around the Bird and Flower market have French presses of various sizes starting at around 30 kuai a piece. Look at the end near to the Macdonalds.

My company sells french presses and other coffee equipment. A 30RMB one isn't going to be very good. We have a simple glass one for 70RMB - good fit between glass and filter, and an unbreakable stainless steel one for 150RMB. Have a look at our website www.drjava.biz.
