I did a quick search but didn't turn up anything exactly relevant; apologies if this question has been answered before and I missed it.

I need to price out shipping a boxed-up bicycle from Beijing to Kunming. Can somebody recommend a reasonable priced company or agent that can take it doorstep to doorstep and in one piece?

I know that I can fly with it, but that's expensive and a pain in the ass getting it to and from the airport on each end (doesn't fit in a standard sized taxi). I'm thinking it might be almost the same price and less trouble to ship.

I used China Post to ship a bike from Shanghai to Beijing a few years ago, arrived safely and cost me less than 100元

Thanks, Froggy, but I assume they're not going to do doorstep to doorstep, right? I would have to haul it to post office on both ends?

i used china railway express ( 95572.com/) . In beijing, they came to my place to pick up the packages and i went to their closest office with them to have the packages weighted, scanned and paid. If i remember correctly, it cost about 400rmb for about 80kg, incuding extra packaging that i asked for. They then delivered them at my hotel in kunming 4 days later
