Do they put fluoride in the water here? If they don't, that's another reason.

talking about tap water,,the water from our tap seems to have a much stronger chloride smell recently,, not sure if its a once off pipe cleaning thing or they upped our dosage?

You have water in your taps?? ... no regular running water for 7 months and counting in our neighbourhood. Grrrr...

Salvador's. Ha ha.

I'm not knocking the place, but it just blows my mind how people in China lower their standards to the point where if there's one decent place to have coffee and western food, then they convince themselves that they're living in heaven.
There's like a million cafes and good restaurants in western cities.

The fact is, there are good things about living here, but there are a lot of bad things. And a few western restaurants that are not anywhere as good as the average restaurant back home doesn't make up for all the bad stuff.

Magnifico lol true, but I just enjoy having a drink on the "balcony" at Salvador's. I have met many friends there. The food is not great, but it is tasty, although I prefer Chinese food any day.
