Since the topic of firearms was brought up (storing personal firearms in the PLA armory)... Does anyone know of places to shoot said firearms?

your are going to need to be seriously "hooked up" with all the wrong people here if you want play with toys (deadly weapons) here.

You'll need to hang with the military since they have a practice range, or the armed police. The armed police - as far as I know, don't practice nearly as much as the military and I don't know that the military practice with live ammunition that much. Bullets are expensive.

That said - you're on your own and as TIC mentioned - it could be complicated.

I would not want to be the alien who stands out by asking Chinese officials about where to use/access firearms.
