Hello everybody, I'm trying to find a good hospital in town with proffesional doctors. I started to have low back pain recently, it's been 2 weeks already and now is getting worse, i went to 云南省 hospital (which i've heard is quiet good) and the doctor there told me that because i spend long hours sitting i might start developing some sort of back problem but he thought it wasn't that serious, he even told me there's no need to take an x-ray, he prescribed me some anti-inflammatories, pain killers, osteoporosis pills like "celecoxib capsules", "chlorzoxazone tablets" and "三七丹参片" which have no good effects on me (btw I'm only 25 years old). I should mention that i had a car accident 2 months ago, just hurt my shoulder, maybe this pain is related to the accident but according to the doctor is not related, everytime i go to a hospital in Kunming i feel really disappointed, I'm never pleased with their answers and explanations, they never tell me exactly what the problem is and how to treat it but i just want to give it one last chance maybe there's a hospital here that is a little better than the rest, if not i think i'll have to go to Thailand and see a real doctor. I'd really aprecciate your suggestions.
Hey guy,as I know the best hospital for back problem is the NO.43 Hospital of Liberation Army.I know you problem ain't just for sitting for a longtime but maybe some other reasons.I can understand your pain. Some of my friends got this problem too(All of them are about twenty). So if you want me see the doctor with you,I'll be helpful.(btw I'm a doctor, but not for back, actually a gynecologist.)

You're never the same after an accident, so there is a chance it's related. But back pain is a supremely tricky diagnosis. Lots of people in your situation will get all kinds of answers, from even highly trained Western doctors. Don't be too harsh on the Kunming doctor, a Western doctor might of prescribed the same meds, as that's a fairly mild treatment for a first diagnosis. He could of recommended exercise, but China is a pill popping culture too.
For minor chronic back pain, I'd try machines at a gym that work out the shoulders and lower back (gyms in Kunming have poor selection of those machines). Massages can alleviate the symptoms, but won't cure it. Never tried it, but yoga is as probably as good as back exercises. Back pain has a high chance of being chronic, so it's just something you might have to mitigate rather than try to cure.
Chiropractors, oxycodone, and surgery should not be considered (or as a final resort). Heard to many horror stories related to each of those.
Don't be too surprise if I say I've met the same situation. Most pain of back only can be alleviated the symptoms, but won't be cured.I mean, you need know if there is other problem of you back,as AS or lumbar disc protrusion?I don't know if you've taken some special texts.
Chronic back pain is a difficult thing to diagnose or treat, you will get different answers from different "professionals" ie orthopedic, spine, neuro, sport, rehab Dr's etc...
Posture and exercise can be big factors neither of which you need a Dr for.
