Is there a shop in Kunming where I can get a good, western brand mountain bike, to fit a giant crazy laowai?

the best local shop is probablly www.gokunming.com/[...] alternatively, there's a Specialized shop in the north and there are a lot of Giant shops around town. depends how much you want to spend i guess.

Thanks all. Yeah it does not have to be super fancy, just not fall apart on first ride lol. Also, are bikes negotiable like other things?
