This shouldn't be an Apple vs. the World discussion. But kill your smugness because it's built into every operating system that matters today, including Windows, Windows Phone (CE-kernel), Android, various Linux-flavours, Unix, BSD as well as Apple's OSes, that are in fact BSD-based.
