Hey,
I've been teaching Yoga in Kunming for more than a year now.
The lessons are usually Hatha yoga or Vinyasa for beginners and intermediate level. Each lesson is an hour and a half long and is held in English. It's 50 kuai for drop- in students or 40 kuai if you pay a month in advance.
Now we're on holiday, the classes will resume again in the beginning of February.

To answer my own question, I found yoga mats at the North Walmart, in the sporting goods section.

I'll be leaving Kunming soon so I'm selling new and used yoga mats and yoga bricks for a very cheap price. If you're interested, please text me -15198958611.

Professional yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance certified) with 5 years' teaching experience offering private and public classes.

Anyone is welcome to attend public classes near Baiyun Road in PanLong district (盘龙区白云路). Please contact at least 1 day in advance to make arrangements for a class and I will give you directions. There is no minimum participation and class times can be arranged to fit your schedule. Maximum participation is 6 people per class. Please let me know if you would like a female-only class and whether you would like to attend class in English or Chinese.

¥100* / 2 hour class

Currently classes are arranged for:

Wednesdays 10:00 - 12:00
Sundays 18:15 - 20:15

* private classes can be arranged at a location of your choosing, but the fee will also include return taxi fare; minimum participation for private classes is 3 people
