Hello,
My daughter until now has been getting tourist visas to enter the country (her father is Chinese) and I was wondering if their is a longer, multiple entry visa that she can get. We are going back to America in August and she will need a new visa to come back. My husband and I got married in the states, so we do not have a Chinese marriage certificate to prove that we are married. I was just wondering what the experience of other couples who have had to go through this with their half chinese kids is. I have heard about a certain "travel document", but I am unclear of what it actually is.
Any info is appreciated!
If you have a residence permit, you can get a dependant residence permit for your child.
If your husband is Chinese, there is a possibility to get a longer visa then a tourist visa.
If we have the chance to analyse your documents (visa, passport...) we could give a more precise answer.
Hope this helps!

From the visa information I've gathered so far, you and your daughter should qualify for renewable 2 yr multiple entry L visa. The documents you will need to prove the relationships are the certified copies of both your marriage license from the States and your daughter's birth certificate. You should apply the visa when you are back in the States, the process at the embassy or consulate is much more simpler and clearer, so save the trouble of getting them translated and notarized in China, plus perhaps some hassle from the local visa office.
