just wondering if there are any all-you-can-eat/drink teppanyaki joints in kunming.

hangzhou and shanghai had tons of these places - massive feed of and free-flow asahi for 120rmb... missing it greatly!

Hey, i do not a place like that but there is a great pizza buffet place called ORIGUS in town centre. Price used to be RMB50 but not sure if it has gone up. There are many different kind of food; barbeque wings, meats, spaghetti, soup, ice cream, beer soft drinks, coffee... etcetc.....

yes. i know of at least one. it's on jinshi lu, near metro. go south toward the tea market and it's on the left hand (east) side of the road.

if you search teppanyaki in the gokunming search bar, you'll see 4 listings.

and just quick review from me, no offense but ORIGUS is some of the nastiest food I've ever eaten.

really?? Coz everytime i am there, the restaurant is always full. probably we went to the different one.

I looked through the teppanyaki restaurant review as you had suggested above. No offense but.. the latest comment was in 2008?? Errr.. something must be wrong there.

thanks fogdear - so it's feiyang? any idea as to what the all-you-can-eat price is? does it include booze at all?

All food looks and smells rather the same after bio-processing.

@fogdear: THANKS for the reference. I'll pass it along to my J-Friends too. They're ALWAYS looking for inexpensive and good J-places to support.

the all you can eat place is the pizza. I don't think Feiyang Teppanyaki has an all you can eat menu. we just ordered each think we wanted. And I don't know of anywhere with inculsive booze. except the above mentioned pizza place had beer when we were there.

Also, I don't know that I would call it japanese food. I had the environment of the chef cooking it for you. but the taste was very different from the Teppanyaki places in USA. very Chinese with some of the spices. but good for a fun meal with friends.
