Ended up marrying a foreigner, moved abroad and was disappointed to find that the same 'special' treatment she spent years handing out was not forthcoming in the US/UK/Australia. Racially integrated societies are not great if you want to be spoiled...Big disappointment for little QQWEN.

Failing to make anything of herself in her new home country, trotted back to Kunming hoping her new-found exoticness would be a winner. Disappointed to find that times had changed and all the years wasted spoiling foreigners and moving out of China had left her out of touch with her old home.

As she vents here, the anger and bitterness are clear for all to see. Very sad really.

And I am sorry, I don't have an ayi to ask the question, but I have friends that are studying at the university or working, and guess what? They don't agree with you. There's good people and bad people EVERYWHERE, and yes, some foreigner behave like idiots, but so do a lot of spoiled Chinese brats, so don't come here riding on your white horse of superiority. If you weren't so narrow-minded, you would know that there's actually lots of foreigners here that behave just fine, come to Kunming to study Chinese, or work, or have a family. And about how spoiled we foreigners are in China, I'm sorry, but there's actually quite a few pig-headed people like you who go around taking out their frustrations on foreigners and treating us (often undeservedly) like crap. I have a friend who got a beer jar smashed against his head (and 5 lovely stiches) only because he didn't realise some drunk Chinese dude was trying to ganbei with him. You are absolutely right QQWEN, you should discuss this kind of matter with, and only with, people who entirely agree with you, because
a) if you do it with people who have a different point of view, you will run the risk of being contradicted, or even worse, proven wrong, learning something and maybe even changing your mind *gasp*.
b) your arguments are so shallow, simplistic and unfounded, that only people as narrow-minded and ignorant as you could ever be impressed by your eloquence - not to mention there is just no way in hell you could ever manage to win an argument with such poor debating skills.
