You have to do that in Beijing apparently - in person or via a 'representative' i.e. agency.
Am thinking of going in July as well, anyone know of an easier solution?
Cheers.
they should have put the embassy in dali that will make more sense(=
but this agency do you know how much it cost and how long it takes?
there's an indian consulate in guangzhou. easy to get to
from the train station, quick subway ride, then a short walk.
you must go in person! they will not accept visa applications
from agencies or other representatives. (as of 2 years ago...)
visa application takes 20 minutes. your passport will be
ems'd back to you in about a week.
Sounds like a royal pain in the ass...
take it easy man u can allso do the visa in nepal(=
And Chiang Mai, for what it's worth....
Hello,
Has anyone had a recent experience of applying for an Indian Visa.
I really don't want to have to spend a week in Guangzhou waiting for my Visa.
Any ideas?
I know several people who have visited Nepal and they get their Indian Visa in a few days. While you wait you can see Nepal and there are cheap flights from Nepal to India ($100-$150 US). Most people go to India via Hong Kong so the price for a ticket from Kunming to Hong Kong is about the same as a ticket from Kunming to Nepal.
I applied for indian visa in guangzhou in 2010 it was quite easy
i would not recommend xiang mai in tai guo which is one vicest plave i ve ever seen, with dark and pestilential waters all around
