WARNING QINGLAI SCHOOL MILE

flengs (109 posts) • 0

Hi,

I just saw a job advertisement for the "QINGLAI SCHOOL". As I have worked for the Qinglai School in Mile briefly last year, I just want to warn everybody not to apply for this job. This is not the actual Qinglai school, but a very strange Korean woman that has a bad relationship with the people who run the rest of the school. This is a bunch of Korean kids in a wing at the corner of the campus. The principal is a uncommunicative lady who has been coldbloodedly dishonest to me. She doesn't know how to run the school and everybody (the kids, the teachers and herself) is a victim of her wicked policies and total mismanagement. Actually her 13 year old son does a big part of the managing and actually brings some sense into it, but it is still a very very undesirable situation. The kids don't know what they are doing there, and they don't deserve to be in this depressing and hopeless situation.

Just to let you know,

Thanks for the warning. I will remember the name.

No I do not want to work there again! Although I have to clarify: there is probably nothing wrong with the Chinese side. I'm talking about the Korean school that is based on the campus of Qinglai school in Mile.

And I wouldn't have posted this warning if I wasn't feeling totally abused. So I do not consider it as a cheap shot. It's a genuine warning for English teachers not to get involved with untrustworthy people.

I am sorry for your experience. I am currently one of three foreigner teachers at Qinglai school, I do work for the Chinese side and can honestly say I love it here. I have been treated with an amazing amount of respect and I could not ask for more from all the staff. I can not comment on the Korean side of the school as I do not work for them, but please remember the negative press this has for a fantastic school.

flengs is just trying to let us know his experience. Besides, he/she did say that it was the Korean side. If you're happy on the Chinese side, stay there.

Hi guys,

I also hear really good stories about the normal (Chinese) Qinglai School.

The problems I had were with a Korean woman who gives herself out as being part of the Qinglai school. Please bear in mind that I only mean to warn people for her!!

If you're gonna work for the Qinglai school in Mile, just make sure you do that for the Chinese side!

She actually advertises her jobs with "QINGLAI SCHOOL MILE", but she has a very bad relation with the actual Qinglai School. That's why I wanted to warn people for her.

I don't want to harm the reputation of the actual real Qinglai school but warn people for a fraud Korean woman who operates on the Qinglai campus.

Ref: My first Semester with You here at Qinglai School

Dear Mrs. Shin,

I wanted to take out a few moments of time to tell You personally how delighted I am to be teaching in Your Korean section of Qinglai School here in Mile. I find the students, teaching staff and Administration very easy to work with!

I have been all over central and eastern China with various schools and English training centers for the past 8+ years and Qinglai School is without any reservation the cleanest and most well groomed school I have been involved with! Beautiful is not near enough to give credence to the overall surroundings of this school! We are settled right outside the Provincial city of Mile, which has several Western types of fast food offerings, and all the basic needs you can find in China with reasonable prices. Just 3 hours away by bus/taxi You can access both rail and International flight centers, thus giving anyone easy access to all parts of China, Hong Kong and SE Asia.

Again my students are very polite and courteous and we all get along well with one another. My private Room offers everything You said it would and more. I am hoping to make this my home away from home for the next two years and just wanted to acknowledge to You how much I appreciate all You do for the Students and Staff!
Kind Regards,
