also curious about directions from YunDa and/or bus numbers ... would like to take daughter to the holiday events.
You can take busses 4, 22, 62, 120, 156, 160, or A1 to bai yao chang 白药厂 and the entrance to the alleyway to Nordica is sandwiched between two restaurants/convenient store (south side of the road).
I found the bus stop on google maps:
maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&tab=wl
It's on Xiba Lu (西坝路) and Huan Chun Xiang, a few minutes away from the Xiba Lu and Huan Cheng Xi Lu (环城西路) intersection.
Xiba Lu is in between Xin Wen Lu (新闻路) and Ankang Lu (安康路) with Nordica between Huan Cheng Xi Lu and Xi Chang Lu (西昌路).
To take the bus from the YunDa area, take bus 22 on Yi Er Yi Da Jie (121 Street) at the Shi Fen Da Xue Bus Stop (师范大学) on the same side as Yunnan Normal University (heading west) and get off at Bai Yao Chang.
Sorry, I don't know directions from the north, but with the information provided and google maps, hopefully you can find it on your own (go to the bus stations nearest you and see if any go directly to bai yao chang).
Alternatively, you could take a taxi:
TCG Nordica
TCG诺地卡
101 Xiba Lu, inside Chuang Ku art compound, Kunming
昆明市西坝路101号 (创库内)

Shameless Plug: The Book Exchange and the Book Nook will be selling used English books at the Nordica Christmas Fair this Friday evening and Saturday day. We'll have a collection of fiction, non-fiction, children's books, etc. available for all your holiday shopping needs! A shipment of books has just come in, so we'll be selling books that haven't even reached the bookshelves of the store! See you this weekend!
Bus #84 from the northern city bus terminal, bei shi qu chi che chang (公交北市区车场), will take you from the north side to the Yun Da area. There are 3-4 stops along yi er yi street that might suit you. It ends at the downtown pedestrian mall.
