just called this morning,it's not cheap but i think it's cheapest since i ever asked.

never buy flight tickets from a stranger who gives out a random phone number. always go to a proper ticket office or buy from a reputable website such as ctrip or elong. There have been countless cases of people buying fake tickets from the business cards handed out in the street. Many of these agents will deliver the tickets to your door but how could you possibly know if they are for real?

Also worth checking out international websites. There is no reason you need to use a local agent in these days of e-tickets. Check www.lastminute.com, www.edreams.com, www.zuji.com.hk etc.

Finally I've sometimes found that despite Kunming's closeness to South East Asia it is often cheaper to travel via Hong Kong. Last time I checked Dragon Air (Kunming, Hong Kong, Bangkok) was cheaper than Thai Air or China Eastern direct Kunming to Bangkok.

as i told you earily,,, i just bought it myself this afternoon,to fly tomorrow ;)

flights to BKK are very cheap now. 590 RMB. They are normally around 2800 RMB (RT)
They are limited and travel times have some restrictions

bucko, where did you get such ultra cheap tickets and which airline are you using? Is it one of those that take about a day to arrive because there is a very long stopover?
