I hope Kunming would ban ALL dogs. People here have no idea how to care for pets. They buy big dogs to live in 50 Sq m condos. They take out their dogs unleashed, to run amok and crap everywhere. Not even the slightest thought to picking up their mess. They are dirty, unkept and I am sure never had vaccines. They are obnoxious, barking all night disturbing people who prefer peace and quiet at home. The Chinese have some sick idea that a dog is some sort of status symbol. There should be a city wide campaign started to promote proper ways to prepare and eat their dogs. I would gladly contribute $$ and time to help with this activity.
If you need a "pet" so badly, buy some fish or a bird. What happened to crickets? But please do away with all dogs. They have no function here. I bought into some new property recently. #1 reason I bought....... NO PETS ALLOWED! Probably the only place in Kunming that has this rule. How sweet it is!
