Whenever I speak with fellow westerners, the conversation often turns to things that irritate us about living in Kunming. Despite the minor gripes, I do like living here and I'm sure you do, too.

So, then, what specifically do you like about Kunming? Me, I like soul-crushing monotony. Just kidding. My favourite thing is just walking around the city. Simple pleasures are the best.

Flowers, flowers, flowers.....every day of the year. Oh...and Yunnan food (I'm not talking about guo qiao mixian...pretty tasteless and over hyoed)....I mean things like lao nai yang yu and rubing!

Well, it's not Beijing or Shanghai, so that's pretty much enough for me!!! :)

I also like the Yunnan food, such as rubing. The weather is also much better than the rest of China and there are many interesting places to visit around Yunnan and SE Asia!
