hi! me and my family are going for a holiday this 3rd-6th oct 2024 to Kunming, China. Been reading some post on saying how pack China will be during the Golden Week.. can somebody help me on where to go and what to expect. We definitely can't change the date because the ticket price are sky rocketing insanely over expensive.. pleaseee helpppp!

Golden week is definitely a busy time of year. There's some places around Yunnan that used to be good for avoiding the crowd. Shaxi is one of my personal favorites, in Dali.

I'd recommend to book your train tickets a couple of weeks in advance for those days.
