Hello,
how does recycling work here? I know there are probably no multi-coloured rubbish containers to separate plastic from paper etc. but there might be places where you can bring your old glass or plastic bottles...? Can anyone explain me how this works and where I have to go? Thanks.

just seperate the paper, glass and plastic at home, then wait until you see one of those people who buy recycled materials on the street and sell to them, remember to bargain. get their phone number and once you have a pile of stuff at home call them.
often poor people will get the plastic bottles out of the trash. they recycle them and make a little money. So, you could save up your bottles and give them to a beggar or poor person, or street kid.
basically this is all done after you throw away your litter and quite efficiently also. I know it seems strange and slightly wrong to just put everything into the same bin but by doing it any other way poorer people are being deprived of a living. No welfare opportunities exist here. the very poorest survive by going through litter bins and finding stuff for recycling.
