I have just moved to Kunming for the next year. I am looking for any advice/help tracking down guitars/basses. I am planning on advancing my playing during my stay in this lovely city. I am also interested in any clubs that offer open mics, etc...

there's a bunch of musical instrument shops along Xichang Lu. i think there's a guitar school on Ru'an Jie too.

both the Speakeasy and Halfway House have hosted open mics in the past but i don't know if they're still running / which nights they're on.
