Is it possible to receive money to your Wechat account from the USA? What is the easiest way to receive funds from the USA? Any ideas? Has anyone successfully done this?

Wire it to your Chinese bank account.

Use Swift to transfer money to your Chinese back account. Or find a Chinese friend with an American account who needs dollars and is prepared to swap. There are some newfangled apps like TransferWise but they don't work well in China because the receiving account must have been opened by a Chinese national.

If you open a Monzo account (a British online bank) they allow you draw up to 200 pounds a month without charge from Chinese ATMs. You can give the cash to a Chinese friend who can then put the money into your WeChat wallet or your bank account. This isn't an advert for Monzo - there are alternatives. Shop around.

The answer is yes and no.

If you're a Chinese citizen - you can link your WeChat to the special app/svc that allows you to receive forex.

If you're NOT - then you'll need to use you're wife's/girlfriend's account, ID, and bank accounts (to include offshore bank accounts) to transfer funds into your WeChat.

Currently, I'm still unaware of any way to directly wire funds into WeChat pay, so we just use SWIFT to put money into our WeChat linked account.

Why make it easy for foreigner to integrate, right?
