I'm looking at tickets from Shanghai to Kunming. Buying them on the official China Eastern webpage would cost around 140$, as for buying them on Wechat would only cost 80$. Has anyone ever bought domestic flight tickets on Wechat? Are foreigners allowed to do that?

I buy all my flight tickets inside of WeChat. The company providing the service is called 同程旅游 and can also be found on www.ly.com

I've had good experiences so far – extremely convenient, fast and generally quite cheap. You need to be able to navigate through the Chinese interface though. Love the reminders I get inside of WeChat of the status of the flights I booked.
