oh my
what a times we are in
i only know one place now, where
one can enjoy every breath of life. or, say, where spirit is good.
athens (taiwan is exceptionally good spirit too)
But its a really rare thing in this modern world. Good spirits. Like a luxury.
have the dark clouds landed on japan yet, any of this global chaos there? Yet? Or the tormented zombies? Or in the horizon?
the world is not what it used to be, right.
but those who seek, they will find.
Given the choice, I prefer Kunming to Youtube.
given the choice, me, i prefer virgin pressed olive oil
You can buy that at Salvador's Peter :)
Oh, Petergg, how can you tell which olive oil is pressed by virgin/virgins? hahahhahahha. who does the certifying the "pressers"?

Actually found articles in Chinese about 处女橄榄油 (Virgin woman olive oil). Translated like that, when it should be 特级初 (more like ”first press”.)
Googled it out of curiosity.
Maybe thats what influenced the tea leaf management at Henan tea farm. There was this story about a Henan tea farm requiring ”virgin women” to pick the tea leaves. Story went global.
So they probably thought it like that. If virgins picking olives sells that well, then why not virgins picking tea leaves too.
interesting topic. i like the weather and the atmosphere here but the lack of proper medical insurance and an old age pension make me scared to stay here for more than 1 to 2 years....what happens when you get older and maybe seriously ill? my mother country wouldn't simply accept me back into their system to which i have not contributed during my stay in China...
norden, if your country has free public health care, it's probably on a yearly basis. ie you must be in the country x days that year to be eligible. probably doesn't matter how many years you leave the country. you can reapply when you get back.
it's good that you are thinking long-term. i never think long-term and it caused me problems.
chinese employers are unreliable in my experience (and i'm being generous with my choice of words here). if you want to stay long-term in china, make sure you work for a good company (ie international ... which will also provide good medical insurance) or go into business for yourself. or work a couple of years and get out.
