Does anyone know an art supply store in Kunming? I need to buy oil colours, canvas etc for oil painting.

There is an art store across from ShiFan DaXue（师范大学）on Yi Er Yi Da Jie （一二一大街）。

Jian she lu has an art supply store. It's next to a public school. The 84 bus stops there. I don't have the exact address.

The place on 121 road (as mentioned above) has the biggest selection. For better prices you can check out several shops at the Yunfang shopping centre (Behind the Carrefour) at Haigeng Road.

Note that there are two shops near the crossing of 121 road and Dongfengxi Road. The first is a shop specialising in Chinese painting stuff. The shop with oil paint etc is a bit further.

The shop mentioned above on Jian she lu at the bus stop is actually at that street where it is still called Dongfengxilu. It mainly has Chinese painting supplies so you have to be around the corner at 121 street.

Thanks a lot for your recommendations! I checked them out and the shop across ShiFan DaXue is quite good.
In the meantime I found out about a few other shops near the Kunming art college. On 380 Dianmian Ave there's a filling station. You'll find a few small painting shops in this area and my favourite one is 'Mali Fine Arts' in Yiyuan Alley just around the corner. Just in case anyone should ever look for oil color, brushes, canvas and stuff...
