Metro (north) used to have something labelled chorizo in their foreign sausages section. How close to authentic it compares to, I wouldn't know.

The Metro chorizo just tasted like spicy regular sausage. Lacked the texture and spices compared with Mexican chorizo anyways.

There were ads from a SA guy who makes sausages, think you could find and get in touch with him if still around.

The SA guy's sausages are not chorizo, but biltong (poss. misspelling).

I tried the Metro chorizo once. Not at all like the Portuguese chorizo I would buy back home.

If anyone likes kielbasa the Russian sausage from Harbin on Taobao is pretty good.
