Cheapest hostel which writes registration form?

Hello,

Which is the cheapest hostel in Kunming that can write a registration form of temporary residence at check-in?

If possible please answer quickly because I have to go to the PSB today.

I don't have a direct answer, but some of the hotels are cheaper than the hostels. There is an international hotel that you can see from Kunming main railway station, on Beijing Lu. I was told that it was cheaper than one of the main hostels in Kunming. I am told that as you stand outside the railway station you will see the name of the hotel (in English) using the word international, on the side or top of the building.

I am sorry that I cannot remember the full name of the hotel, or answer your question more specifically.

So the reason I posted this question is to find the right hostel. I am already working my way through the listed hostels but if someone knows one that is both cheap and able to write the registration form that would be great. Four hours left to get the form and go to the PSB.

Thing to do is to go to a hostel, check in, pay for your bed/room, and you will automatically be registered with the PSB - note that the PSB might check - but any hotel or hostel registration is all you need to show the PSB, but of course you have to pay for your accommodation, whether you use it or not.

Not sure about that. I don't think the smaller hostels actually register foreigners. Not entirely sure but I probably should bring the form back to the PSB like they asked me to.

Still looking for a hostel that can write this. Let me know if anyone knows one. Maybe YHA.

Just tell them you want a receipt for your registration, they are legally required to give you a receipt. I have done this in the past, for the same purpose as yourself - at both The Hump and the Kunming Hotel.

So the registration form is not necessary, just the receipt?

I don't know what registration form you are talking about, but hostels and hotels are required to keep track of all who stay in them so that the PSB or local cops can keep track of everybody. Highly unlikely that this is all going to be a big problem.

The lady at the PSB showed me this and asked me to bring it or something which does not necessarily looks exactly the same, she said.
